Study on the Peripheral Magnetic Leakage and Shielding Measures of Surface-mounted Permanent Magnet Motor

Permanent magnet (PM) motors are widely used in our daily lives. Taking a surface-mounted PM motor as an example, magnetic circuit model considering the peripheral flux leakage is established. Maxwell software to simulate different loads and thicknesses materials of shielding layers. The around has sinusoidal distribution space. value inversely proportional power $P+1$ from surface core. thicker layer, smaller leakage. greater relative permeability better effect. results provide ideas recommendations for analysis design non-magnetic or low motors.
